What is the Mosaic International Event?
In short, summer camp for adults.
The Mosaic International Event is held every year on Labor Day Weekend.
It gives Mosaic members from all over the world the opportunity to
spend time with each other, enjoy the outdoors and explore Judaism in
a natural setting.
We stay at a summer camp and do all kinds of outdoor activities. About
150 like-minded Jewish adventurers attend this event each year. This
year, the event will include hiking, rafting, biking, nature
walks, horseback riding, arts & crafts, Israeli dancing,
workshops, swimming, campfires, canoe hockey, photography, and a
few more surprises!
New this year: In addition to new "greening" activities, we will be
having a special address from a Director of the Nature Conservancy
of Canada to tell us what is special about the ecosystem in this
area of the world.
But wait - the International Event just doesn't seem like enough?

Pre Trip
Montreal City beginning Tuesday, August 31
Before heading to camp, take a few days to experience the fine old city
of Montreal. Join us for sightseeing in this centuries old city with
a modern skyline and a European flair. Like most major cities, there
is too much to see in only two days, but our wonderful hosts are
looking forward to sharing some of the highlights of their wonderful
city. Information is on our web site at www.mosaicoutdoor.org.
Harry Bronfman Y Country Camp
We'll be staying at the awesomely beautiful Harry Bronfman
Y Country Camp, in the Laurentain Mountians, just 2 hours
north of Montreal. Get that "close to nature" feeling even while
eating meals with friends - the dining hall has a beautiful
360 degree view! The camp is on three, yes three lakes, with
three waterfronts! Remember the Blob? Catapult your friends into
the lake! It wouldn't be Canada without hockey - this camp has
two beautiful ball hockey rinks. Never tried canoe hockey? This is
your chance!
For info about the camp go to www.ycountrycamp.com.

Day Time Activities
Some of the best hiking, rafting and rock climbing on the continent!
No kidding! Fabulous options for all levels in the nearby
Laurentian Naional Park. Famous Via Ferratta too! Mountain biking
in the Laurentians. Visit world famous Mont Tremblant resort, and
more! New this year: You asked, we listened... this year, we will
be staying on camp on Saturday, to enjoy the awesome facilities at
this beautiful camp in the mountains. Did we mention THREE
waterfront areas? Beautiful tennis courts, and much more!
Night Time Activities
After the sun goes down, we'll mingle and schmooze, learn new
dances, watch for the Northern Lights, and listen to some great
music. Remember to sign up your talent for Talent Night! We'll
celebrate Shabbat and Havdallah with beautiful candlelight
ceremonies, take a night hike, do some stargazing, and enjoy the
nightly Mosaic campfire on the beach.
